Our Minneapolis daycare opened in 2015 and is one of 6 New Horizon Academy schools in Minneapolis. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, hold a four-star rating from Minnesota Parent Aware, and offer quality early childhood programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-kindergarteners. All of our childcare classrooms utilize an age-appropriate curriculum, which incorporates reading, STEAM, social-emotional learning, and more. My name is Melanie, and I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. I have been working with children since I was 16 years old. Growing up in a large family with seven brothers and three sisters, I developed a deep love for education and learning. I want to share that passion with the children in the community where I live and work. I have two amazing kids, Anakin and Delilah, who have grown up at New Horizon Academy.

Best school ever!!! I have two grandsons that attend the New Horizon Academy on Penn Avenue North in Minneapolis. The teachers and directors know every child and family that attends. They are ALL super sweet and nice like family. My grandsons look forward to attending school every day. I don’t know what I would do without them!
